Our Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised 3-day qualification designed for individuals who have a responsibility to provide first aid in workplace settings. This First Aid at Work Course in Kent develops the comprehensive knowledge and practical skills required to manage a wide range of workplace injuries and medical emergencies safely and effectively.
Delivered in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, this qualification supports employers in meeting their legal duty to provide appropriate and adequate first aid arrangements. Learners gain competence in managing unresponsive casualties, performing CPR and AED use, controlling bleeding, treating shock, managing fractures, burns, eye injuries and sudden illnesses.
Through practical, scenario-based training and continuous assessment, participants build the confidence to respond promptly and effectively to workplace emergencies. Assessment includes practical evaluations and a multiple-choice theory examination to ensure competence across all required learning outcomes.
This qualification is ideal for appointed workplace first aiders in higher-risk environments or organisations requiring a comprehensive first aid provision. The certification is valid for three years.

- Burns, scalds and eye injuries
- Medical emergencies including heart attack, stroke, asthma, seizures and diabetes
- Minor injuries and workplace incident management
Course Structure
- 3-day classroom training delivered in Kent through comprehensive, practical First Aid at Work instruction
- Practical skills development including CPR, AED use, choking management, bleeding control, fractures and medical emergencies
- Scenario-based learning designed to reflect real workplace incidents and higher-risk environments
- 2 mandatory units
- Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 24 hours (12 hours for requalifying course)
- Contact Learning Hours (CLH): Minimum 18 hours (12 hours for requalifying course)
- 5 practical assessments, 2 multiple choice theory examinations and continuous formative assessment throughout the course
- Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF), qualification valid for 3 years

What is the First Aid at Work Requalification Course?
The First Aid at Work (RQF) Level 3 Requalification is a 2-day course designed for learners who currently hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate and need to renew it before expiry.
This course refreshes and updates essential workplace first aid knowledge and practical skills in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
To enrol, learners must provide proof of a current (in-date) First Aid at Work certificate. this needs to be received prior to the course start date.
If your certificate has expired, you may be required to complete the full 3-day First Aid at Work course.
