BM Ambulance Service goes Green!
Kent Private Ambulance Goes Green
BM Ambulance Service in Ashford is proud to lead the way in sustainable healthcare transport. Our Kent Private Ambulance Goes Green initiative reflects our commitment to reducing emissions, promoting eco-conscious practices, and protecting both public health and the environment for future generations.

We have now replaced our entire fleet with low-emission, eco-efficient vehicles. All ambulances in our fleet are equipped with the latest Euro 6 diesel engines, significantly reducing harmful emissions. Our Rapid Response Vehicles (RRVs) are modern plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), further reducing our carbon footprint and helping combat noise pollution.
What Does Going Green Mean for Us?
- Reduced carbon emissions and cleaner air for the communities we serve
- Modern, quiet and fuel-efficient vehicle technology
- Lower impact on local environments during callouts and patient transfers
- A positive contribution to national sustainability targets
But our green journey doesn’t stop with our fleet. BM Ambulance is also taking steps to reduce waste across our organisation by increasing recycling rates, sourcing sustainable supplies, and making our offices more energy efficient.
Our Green Commitment in Action
Going green isn’t just a trend—it’s a responsibility. At BM Ambulance Service, we believe that being environmentally conscious aligns directly with our values of care and professionalism. A healthier environment contributes to healthier people. We’re committed to delivering eco-friendly patient transport services across Kent and the South of England, without compromising on safety, speed, or quality of care.
