Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving.

We are in the process of scoping out the set up of our long awaited blue light driver training here at BM ambulance in Kent. This is to train our own staff for routine and blue light responding to incidents under emergency and non-emergency conditions.

We will work towards being able to provide a Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving. This qualification will meets the requirement for ambulance service drivers to claim exemptions under the road traffic act and to operate to the specification of the High Speed Driver Training regulations of the Department for Transport. The requirement for competency is driving underpinned by knowledge of legislation but also the requirement for competency in safe response to emergency calls and the conveyance of patients to the definitive place of care for BM staff and non-employed providers.
